GLT Meet info

July 18th

Our final dual meet on Monday is against Governor's Land Typhoons. The address for this pool is 2711 Two Rivers Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

KP swimmer arrival: 5:15

GLT warmup: 5:00-5:30

KP warmup: 5:30-6:00

Meet start: 6:00

Meet end (approx): 8:00-8:15

PLEASE NOTE: Both teams will be swimming mixed relays at this meet. These will be swam at the BEGINNING of the meet, before event 1, boys 9-10 100 IM. The regular relays will be swam at the end of the meet after 15-18 girls 50 fly.

The swimmers in the relays may slightly change so please keep an eye out.

Welcome to Governor’s Land! We are excited to host your team for our VPSU swim meet scheduled for July 20th at 6:00 pm.

Our Park East pool is located at 2711 Two Rivers Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

Parking is available in the clubhouse lot and across the street by the tennis courts. *Please note, NO parking along Two Rivers Road is permitted*

AWAY TEAM ARRIVAL:

Pool Wifi: ParkEastPool

KP Warm-Up Time: 5:30

Guests may set up their personal tents/ chairs in the grass area on the pool deck opposite the entrance. Please look for “away team” signs for directions.

TIMING SYSTEM:

Time Drops, with one backup stopwatch per lane.

This is our first season with the time drops system. We have thoroughly tested it, but appreciate your patience should any issues arise.

AWAY TEAM VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

Clerk of Course: 1-2 per shift (2-4 total)

Timers: 9 per session (18 total)

Ribbons/Scorers – 2

Stoke and Turn Officials: 2 per shift (4 total)

CONCESSIONS:

The concession stand is located on the back side of the clubhouse and offers burgers, hot dogs, drinks, chips, treats, and other snacks.
