For Monday: Heat Sheets for Swimmers & Last Reminders

    Hello KP Dolphins!

We are ready for Time Trials on Monday! Couple key reminders:

    • Have your swimmer at the pool at 5pm if you want them in the group photo. All swimmers should be at the pool by 5:15pm for warmups
    • Heat Sheets are attached-- please check your swimmer's events and mark his/her hands with a sharpie (see the EHL demo).  Swimmers are listed alphabetically with Event, Heat and Lane (EHL) detail.  It makes it much easier for the kids to keep track of their own events
    • Please plan on staying for the full meet-- your swimmers are probably on a relay team, if they are aged 7/8 & Up.
      • We will be running 5 relays for boys and 6 for girls--it should be fun, and it will let many swimmers try something new.
      • 6&U swimmers will be doing freestyle and backstroke--the latter is in the second half of the meet
    • Please set up on the KP Green since VPSU is asking us to reduce the number of bodies on the pool deck.
    • Swimmers can watch the meet inside the pool within the team area (with parental permission).
    • Parents/family members can come into the pool deck to watch races, but please socialize on the KP Green.
    • Unvaccinated adults are asked to wear masks on the pool deck during the meet.
    • Pizza will be delivered about 5:15pm, but only to those who preordered and prepaid. We will have water and snacks available for purchase.
    • Any swimmer who did not pick up their KP swim cap on Thursday, can get one on Monday evening.

And finally, we are trying to put together a concessions plan for home swim meets this season, due to newly loosened COVID rules. If you are able, we would appreciate it if each family would donate two 12 packs of canned soda/sparkling water or gatorade so we can resell. Please bring to time trials (or any practice) this week. Thank you all for your continued support and willingness to volunteer/step up. We really appreciate your flexibility and your help!!!!

Let's hope for a thunder-free Monday and Go Dolphins!!!!
