    KP Swim Team Action Items

    Hello KP Dolphin Families!

We are gearing up for Time Trials on Monday, June 14th and our first home meet on June 21st, and need your help on a couple items.

    1. Please RSVP for Time Trials on or before this Thursday, June 10th at 11pm. RSVP HERE. This is a "practice meet" to get the swimmers updated times and for us to make sure we can host another team. However, you can and should RSVP your swimmers for all meets of the season. You can change these up until the Thursday before each meet at 11pm.

    2. If you are sending a swimmer to Time Trials and/or the first meet, please also sign up for a minimum of one volunteer slot. All swimmers must have at least one family member volunteer for each event. Volunteer HERE (it's the same as the RSVP page).

    3. Volunteer training will happen this week. Please be on the lookout for a specific email with date/time based on what you signed up for during registration. We will need timers and setup/cleanup folks as well--but we would like to ensure every family has at least one person trained in a "harder to fill" position. You may not have to work this position every meet, but we do have to spread the work and very much appreciate your help!

    4. Preorder Pizza for Time Trials: If you would like to feed your family during Time Trials and help the KP team, please preorder and prepay for a pizza from Sal's. Large cheese for $20 and large pepperoni for $22. This is also a fundraiser for KP Swimteam, so there is a slight upcharge. Please pay via Venmo @Kingspoint-swimteam. Order HERE. Pizza to be delivered about 5:15pm.

    5. Team photos will be taken at 5pm on June 14th. Please have your swimmer wear their 2021 KP Dolphins tshirt over swimsuit (team suit information HERE), if you would like your child to participate. This will be one group photo with the coaches.

    6. Changes to Meet Schedule: Kingspoint will now be competing in Division 2. We will have all meets on Mondays, but will be swimming against different neighborhoods. We also have a change in which meets are at home (at Kingspoint). New schedule:

    • June 14: TIME TRIALS at Kingspoint. Arrive at 5pm for team photo/warmups
    • June 21:  HOME MEET vs Wmbg Community Pool. Warmups at 5:15 pm
    • June 28: AWAY MEET vs Stonehouse
    • July 5: AWAY MEET vs Wellington
    • July 12: HOME MEET vs Windsor Forest. Warmups at 5:15 pm
    • July 19: HOME MEET vs Gov Land/Two Rivers Warmups at 5:15 pm
    • July 24: Award Meet at Queens Lake (last chance to qualify for Champs-- optional)
    • July 31: VPSU Champs meet (qualified swimmers only) at WISC
    7. COVID Policy for Meets:

Things are getting back to normal at the KP Pool, but COVID is still a thing. Please keep in mind our pool COVID Policy.

    • Vaccinated adults do not need to wear masks on pool deck
    • Unvaccinated adults are asked to wear a mask on the pool deck
    • Swimmers do not need to wear masks
    • Families should set up on the KP Green for meets and use this area to socialize
    • Spectators may watch their swimmer on the pool deck, but should not stay on the deck unless working in a specific volunteer role (timer, stroke and turn, scorer, etc)
    • Swimmers can stay inside the pool deck with their team, and with parental permission.
    8. Private Coaching:

Coaches Abby and Coach Mary are available for private coaching at an additional fee if you'd like your swimmer to have some one-on-one instruction. More details HERE.

Know that is a lot, so please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Bear with us as we have had quite a few changes in recent weeks. We appreciate your support and flexibility and look forward to a great season. Thank you and GO DOLPHINS!
